Additional Driver
All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter. The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pick-up date and location. An additional driver fee of NT $180 per day applies.
Age Requirements
The minimum age requirement to drive all vehicles is 18. There is no maximum rental age.
Cross Border Policy
Vehicles cannot be driven into any other country.
Damage Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the rate for all vehicles. CDW reduces the liability of the renter in the event of damage to or theft of the vehicle. The deductible is reduced to NT20,000 for all domestic cars. For pure electric or imported cars, the deductible is reduced to NT50,000. In addition, the renter shall compensate for operation losses during the vehicle repair period according to the following standards: for up to 10 days, 70% of the standard rental rate for that period; for 11 to 15 days, 60% of the standard rental rate for that period; for 16 days or more, 50% of the standard rental rate for that period. However, operation losses calculation period shall be limited to a maximum of 20 days. In cases of violations such as the use of alcohol, drugs, or any other misuse as stated in the Terms and Conditions, the renter is responsible for the full value of the damage.It is advised to determine if personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage, or impound fees. CDW is not insurance.
One Way Drop Policy
The one-way fee varies based on the vehicle category, return location, and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process after entering the rental dates, route, and selected vehicle category. Please be aware that dropping off at the incorrect return location shall charge an additional handling fee of NT$1,000.
Refueling Service
Each vehicle will be provided with fuel cards from Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPC), CPC Corporation (CPC), and National Petroleum Corporation (NPC). Renters must use the corresponding fuel card as the payment method at the respective gas station. After refueling, gas station staff will request the renter’s signature as proof of transaction. Please note that the fuel card is the only accepted payment method for refueling.The fuel cost will be calculated based on the mileage driven when the vehicle is returned. The calculation is as follows:Fuel Cost = (Returning Mileage – Departure Mileage) × Mileage Charging Standard for each model. Mileage Charging Standard changes every quarter.Failure to comply with this refueling policy may result in additional charges. Refueling charges and available options will be explained at the branch when you pick up your vehicle. Charges may vary based on the option selected.
Personal Accident Insurance
In the event of injury or death to the driver or passengers, the maximum claim amount per person is NT $3 million. The number of people is subject to the carrying limit listed on the vehicle license.
Forms of Payment
All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, MasterCard, VISA, or JCB are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Prepaid cards, cash, checks, and debit cards are not accepted. In addition, if the renter has an online reservation, the number and name printed on the card presented by the renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. A deposit is not required to rent a vehicle.
Renter Requirements
All drivers must present a valid physical driving license at the time of rental. Electronic or digital licenses are not accepted.For citizens of Taiwan, the renter must present a National ID card and a valid driver’s license.For non-citizens, if the renter is returning the vehicle within 30 days of entry, the renter must present a passport, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by a country that has reciprocity with the R.O.C., a driver’s license issued by the country of origin, and an entry record such as an entry stamp. The IDP must be issued by the same country as the passport and by a country that is a signatory to the Vienna or Geneva Conventions. If the renter is unable to return the vehicle within 30 days of entry, the renter must present a passport and either an International Driving Permit or an R.O.C. driver’s license. Failure to provide a valid IDP will result in denial of the rental.In addition, all renters must present a valid credit card in the renter’s name upon collection of the vehicle.

The Car Rental Counter is located inside Taipei Station, near North Gate 2 (Train/HSR).
Supplemental Liability Protection
For any third-party casualty, the maximum claim for each casualty including medical treatment, is NT $2 million. NT $2 million for each casualty, NT $4 million for each accident, and NT $500,000 for property damage.
Zero Excess
Zero Excess (ZE): Also known as Safety Package, is an optional coverage. If Party B fully complies with the requirements outlined in Article 9 regarding repairable Vehicle damage and below following cases, it reduces the applicable deductible to zero NT$0, including operational loss, in the event of damage to or theft of the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified. If ZE is not included in the reservation, it may be purchased prior to or at the time of rental.(1) The incident was intentional or instigated by Party B or the driver.(2) A collision with an unknown vehicle or object caused the damage or loss.(3) This The Vehicle has suffered unknown scratches or other damage or loss, the cause of which is unknown.(4) The Vehicle was damaged or lost due to the intentional or negligent infringement of a third party.(5) The incident was caused by Party B, or the driver committed a crime, instigated a crime, or evaded lawful arrest.(6) The damage and loss caused by the Vehicle, which fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident.(7) Party B or the driver was under the influence of alcohol or took or used contraband while driving the Vehicle.(8) Party B voluntarily bears the loss of the Vehicle and settled with the other party on its own.(9) Damage and loss caused by natural disasters (typhoons, hurricanes, floods, etc.)(10) Damage and loss caused by driving the Vehicle on non-roadway and non-legal parking areas (beaches, rivers, streams, fields, single-plank bridges, etc.)(11) Violating Articles 6 and 9 of the contract.(12) Second or subsequent accidents.(13) Tire puncture or blowout that occurred while Party B was driving, resulting in damage or loss to the tire, rim, tire pressure sensor, or other related components.Before purchasing ZE, renters Party B are advised to confirm whether their personal coverage is sufficient to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administrative fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage, or impound fees. If ZE is declined, the renter Party B will be responsible for these charges and must seek reimbursement through their personal coverage provider. ZE is not insurance.
